Before beginning I prepared birch panels and canvas by gluing the watercolor paper onto the surface. (Birch panel left – watercolor paper right – printing brayer in the middle.
Above you can see that I have squeezed the white PVA glue on the panel surface. I used the plastic card to spread the paste evenly over the surface. I added the white glue to the watercolor paper as you can see below.
The final step – adding the watercolor paper to the panel with the brayer. Did a lot of rolling over the surface until the paper adhered well. Then took the panel to the ironing board and, placing paper on the board, ironed the top so that the glue adhered to both surfaces. I put heavy books onto of the panel and let it dry overnight.
